Random Matrix Model for Nakagami-Hoyt Fading
نویسندگان
چکیده
Random matrix model for the Nakagami-q (Hoyt) fading in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication channels with arbitrary number of transmitting and receiving antennas is considered. The joint probability density for the eigenvalues of HH (or HH), where H is the channel matrix, is shown to correspond to the Laguerre crossover ensemble of random matrices and is given in terms of a Pfaffian. Exact expression for the marginal density of eigenvalues is obtained as a series consisting of associated Laguerre polynomials. This is used to study the effect of fading on the Shannon channel capacity. Exact expressions for higher order density correlation functions are also given which can be used to study the distribution of channel capacity.

On the similarity between Nakagami-m Fading distribution and the Gaussian ensembles of random matrix theory
We report the similarity between the Nakagami-m fading distribution and the three Gaussian ensembles of random matrix theory. We provide a brief review of random matrix theory and wireless fading. We show that the Nakagami-m distribution serves as mapping between the three ensembles. The statistics of the wireless fading amplitude, as modeled by Nakagami-m distribution, provide a rare example o...
متن کاملNakagami-m phase-envelope joint distribution - Electronics Letters
Introduction: When the Nakagami-m envelope distribution was proposed [1], no information on the phase distribution of the corresponding signal was provided. In fact, to the best of the authors’ knowledge, the Nakagami-m phase-envelope joint probability density function (pdf) has not been established yet, either by physical argument or by empirical evidence [2–4]. Accordingly, the usual uniform ...
متن کاملThe α − η − μ and α − κ − μ Fading Distributions
In this paper two new fading distributions, the α−η−μ Distribution and α−κ−μ Distribution, are presented. The α − η − μ distribution includes the α − μ, Nakagami-m, Nakagami-q, Weibull, Hoyt, Rayleigh, Exponential, and the OneSided Gaussian distributions as special cases. The α − κ − μ distribution includes the α − μ, Nakagami-m, Weibull, Rice, Rayleigh, Exponential, and the One-Sided Gaussian ...
متن کاملImpact of Nakagami-m Fading Model on Multi-hop Mobile Ad Hoc Network
Several theoretical and experimental based models have been proposed to predict the fading envelope of the received signal in multipath condition. In this paper, we considered a model named Nakagami-m model. Nakagami-m can model a variety of fading environments, where it closely approximates the Nakagami-q (Hoyt) and the Nakagami-n (Rice) models, and has the Rayleigh and one sided Gaussian mode...
متن کاملLevel-Crossing Rate and Average Duration of Fades of Deterministic Simulation Models for Nakagami-Hoyt Fading Channels
In this paper, an efficient deterministic simulation model for the Nakagami-Hoyt fading channel model (Q model) is proposed by using the concept of Rice’s sum of sinusoids. Analytical formulas are derived for the amplitude and phase probability density functions (PDF), level-crossing rate (LCR) and average duration of fades (ADF). By using a numerical optimization procedure, we show how the sta...
